This past two years, the service design industry has experienced more attention than ever before, and this has enabled the accessibility of education about this topic around the world. Previously we could only find the well known Service Design master degrees at prestigious universities such as Politecnico di Milano, Royal College of Arts, SCAD o Laurea Finlandia. But considering to spend two years and a considerable amount of money in international masters is a real luxury most people can’t afford (at least in Mexico).

Luckily for us, we can now find much more accessible courses in both cost and duration. I made a list of some Service Design courses that I find interesting either by the institutions or teachers involved, or because of the quality of the syllabus. Ordered by relevance in the industry (curricular value) and personal preferences.

Disclaimer: being passionate about Service Design and education has led me to start an initiative focused on the training of service designers in Mexico. I could not make a list without including our courses as part of the benchmark, hence I added them at the end of this article, separated so as not to bias the ranking.
